https://watsonhugo.github.io/tags/travel/Recent content in Travel on 華生的珈琲館Hugozh-TWSun, 12 Aug 2012 20:28:05 +0800https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2012-08-12-bath-spa-town/Sun, 12 Aug 2012 20:28:05 +0800https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2012-08-12-bath-spa-town/<p>巴斯（Bath）是索姆塞特郡（Somerset）東北面的一座城市，距離埃克賽特不到兩個小時的火車，幾個禮拜前趁天氣大好我抽空去了一趟。</p> <p>當火車快要開進巴斯溫泉站（Bath Spa）的時候，雖然周圍沒什麼老建築，不過遠遠地便能透過車窗望見當地有名的大教堂。車站位於整個城市的南部。因為當時車站正在翻修擴建，所以甫一出站便是雜亂的工地，沒留下什麼好印象。從火車站一直到城中還有一段距離，幸好不長，主要是新開發的商舖，其中雲集了各種可以想見的英國 High Street 品牌。我仔細觀察了一下，這些店舖的房子都是一種建築風格，偏黃的石質外立面，偶爾搭配羅馬柱式和窗花，後來才發現原來是為了和城中老建築保持一致的風格。巴斯城市不大，人口僅八萬多一點，大概稱之為「鎮」更合適吧。由於事先做了功課，我對幾個要參觀的景點都了然於胸。其實從南至北步行頂多半個小時，不過這半個小時可看的地方也是很多的。</p> <p>巴斯作為旅遊城市和世界文化遺產，遊客絡繹不絕，城中有穿梭巴士來往於景點之間。巴士雖可省卻勞頓之苦，不過我還是以為步行是體驗這座城市的最佳方式。</p>https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2011-07-03-notes-on-english-churches/Sun, 03 Jul 2011 16:56:02 +0800https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2011-07-03-notes-on-english-churches/英國的教會分佈非常廣泛。雖以英國國教會（Church of England）為正宗，不同旁支亦隨處可見。走在埃克塞特的大街小巷中，不經意間，那些叫不出名字的精緻小教堂便排闥而入。當然，英國許多旅遊景點裡，當地的大教堂均是保留項目。之前總以為https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2011-01-30-a-day-in-bristol/Sun, 30 Jan 2011 18:59:05 +0800https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2011-01-30-a-day-in-bristol/<p>It is almost four months since my first step onto the British Isles before I compose this second article. Not because that I am reluctant to write something in English, however, the pressure of reading reams of mundane theories as well as the trivial affairs such as cooking and washing in daily life can be summarized as the mainspring. Being abroad for the first time, I am imposed by all these things that used to be the business of my parents. In addition, having lost the exhortation of my dear long-winded mother in old days, I always try to let my backbone survive after incessant tests of somnolence and laziness. Now I have the confidence to say that my father’s well-known prowess on cooking is not doomed to lose heir after  his unfledged son was sent to experience the weathering of living on the other sphere of the earth for a while.</p> <p><img src="img-1.jpg" alt="A Day in Bristol" /></p> <p>Selected a cheap but exquisite house as my residence here, I find my neighbor really nice and easy to get along with, partly due to our congenial interests and temperament. In last month, we have made sightseeing excursions to London and Bristle, enjoying a hilarious time there. In comparison with other classmates, I have travelled to far less places in England, let alone a long-expected journey to Scotland, which is chillingly cold especially in winter. The reason is quite simple, for I love to stay in tranquility. Piles of essays also slow down my pace for an outing. But I decide to visit more cities in the future. Anyway, the opportunity to travel abroad is scarce, thereby precious. The impression and knowledge I’ve accumulated through my experience here is sure to form a general first-hand feeling to indigenous people as well as the eclectic ambience to cultural diversity in western society.</p>https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2010-09-26-arriving-in-england/Sun, 26 Sep 2010 20:09:33 +0800https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2010-09-26-arriving-in-england/經過十幾個小時的跋涉，終於在橫跨了七個時區之後抵達倫敦。次日學校有接機，便於希思羅機場附近旅館逗留一晚。手拖巨石箱，肩背炸藥包，行李極重，甫入宿舍便已心力交瘁，什麼也不去想，惟有倒頭就睡，方可一解旅途疲憊。https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2010-08-20-tonglu-trip/Fri, 20 Aug 2010 05:17:54 +0800https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2010-08-20-tonglu-trip/<p>七月徂暑，至其中旬業已實習三月有餘，終日奔忙，於最後數日在西班牙館頭頂酷日，盡吾餘力，然其時復有簽證之瑣務，故不免心生退意，以處理此等煩心雜事。</p> <p>至八月，聞母單位組織家屬行桐廬，蓋答謝員工世博之勞頓。初因天氣燠熱，無心出遊，然曰此行若去，則有千元之額外補助，再者沿途可飽覽自然景物，舒暢心境，此乃一良機也。是以欣然應允。</p> <p>桐廬縣為一古地，三國吳黃武四年始置縣城。地處富春江中上段，山草秀美。《與朱元思書》雲：「奇山異水，天下獨絕。」是之謂也。</p> <p>縣郊有一喀斯特溶洞，其地鄉民美其名曰：「垂雲通天河」。吾一行端坐於一扁舟，當地一村婦蕩槳在後。初入嚴洞，頓覺陰涼暢快，空氣宜人，全然不若洞外之熱浪滾滾。復行數十尺，只見怪石嶙峋，逼仄頭頂。村婦將各種奇石一一道來，此云「仙人下凡」，彼則謂「靈猴採桃」。定睛一探，果栩栩如生，惟妙惟肖。而後駛入一開闊處，抬頭望之，宛若蒼山穹頂，直聳入天，頓悟通天河之由來也。洞內鐘乳石筍鱗次櫛比，不禁慨嘆造物主之鬼斧妙手。聞此地下暗河全長三四公里，世所罕有，旁人皆嘖嘖。</p>https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2010-04-07-shaoxing-trip/Wed, 07 Apr 2010 07:00:48 +0800https://watsonhugo.github.io/posts/2010-04-07-shaoxing-trip/<p>今年二月初因爲親戚結婚，故而去了紹興喝喜酒。費時不多，凡兩天。今日將一些照片貼出，以作留念。</p> <p>我去紹興的那幾天，正好在下雨，在埋怨天公之時，發現雨中的紹興其實更有風味，便端起相機記錄下了紹興的每一處細微的角落。</p> <p>我們先是游走在紹興一條不知名的小巷裡，此處有些集市和賣各種特產的小店鋪，雖然下雨，行人還是不少。</p>
