Release Note
A critical risk-communication channel that surfaces breaking changes, mandatory activities, and upgrade readiness.

I work on release notes as a critical risk-communication channel that helps customers safely adopt new product versions. Unlike feature-focused updates, release notes are designed to surface changes that may break existing configurations, require manual intervention, or affect production stability.
My focus is on clearly communicating customer impact, including mandatory manual activities during upgrades, deprecated applications or features and their replacements, incompatible functional changes that were previously allowed but are no longer supported, and breaking or mandatory changes to APIs. Each entry is written to help users quickly assess risk, understand consequences, and take the correct action before issues occur.
Release notes are published as SAP Notes on the SAP for Me platform ahead of the official release. This early availability allows customers to evaluate impact, plan regression testing, and prepare mitigation strategies in advance. Compared to What’s New, which highlights enhancements, release notes serve as an authoritative source for upgrade readiness, operational risk awareness, and change management.
